概要 Coexistence of kaon condensation and hyperons in highly dense matter is investigated on the basis of the relativistic mean-field theory combined with the effective chiral Lagrangian. The $¥Lambda$ (1405) pole term and the range terms are introduced so as to reproduce the on-shell $s$-wave $KN$ scattering lengths. After these terms are taken into account, kaon-condensed phase in hyperon-mixed matter still leads to significant softening of the equation of state (EOS).
We discuss what effects are necessary to make the EOS stiffer in order to be consistent with recent observations of massive neutron stars.
