概要	We recapitulate recent theoretical development on phase transitions of normal neutron-star matter to a new phase including condensation of pions and kaons.Onset mechanisms and ground-state properties of meson condensations are outlined. In particular, the interplay between kaon condensation and hyperons in dense matter is clarified. Implications for static and dynamic properties of neutron stars and rapid cooling through neutrino emission are discussed.
